Job Summary

Fit is seeking a Data Center Manager to join a growing Engineering Firm in Louisville, KY. This is available due to growth, and this person will be responsible for data center tasks such as installing and maintaining hardware and related software. Pay is in the $80K range with competitive benefits.

Job Description

  • Monitor all software and hardware products and ensure compliance to data center standards and best practices
  • Administer installation and maintenance of organization data center
  • Monitor all activities related to analysis and implement all data center systems
  • Perform troubleshooting on data center, identify issues and assist in timely resolution of same
  • Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of infrastructure systems
  • Ensure adherence to all established guidelines and management practices for employees
  • Coordinate with various departments and perform integration of critical systems into infrastructure
  • Coordinate with business teams to develop strategies to ensure achievement of data center capability
  • Maintain expert knowledge on all datacenter servers and systems
  • Ensure client satisfaction and provide optimal level of customer services for various departments
  • Maintain effective professional relationships with IT relationship managers
  • Assist with the implementation of cyber security best practices, and assist with cyber incident response/management
  • Assist with the planning and deployment of infrastructure security measures

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four‐year college or university; or one to two years
  • Must have experience with the following software:
    • Windows Server 2016 and 2012 R2
    • Windows 10 and Windows 7
    • DHCP, DNS
    • Microsoft Office 2016
  • VMware Vsphere 6.5
  • Preferred experience with the following software:
    • Horizon View 7.5
    • VMware App Volumes
    • Office 365
    • HP Switches
    • Some knowledge of Microsoft SQL
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of data center virtualization and related hardware and software; server hardware; Windows based operating systems; Microsoft Active Directory; data center backup procedures; computer networking concepts
  • Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects on time and budget; Manages project team activities
