Job Summary

Fit is seeking a skilled CFO capable, willing and responsible for leading an established team by providing overall financial and operational direction of the company.  We are seeking someone who can plan, direct and coordinate activities at the highest level of management with the assistance of other executives and staff.  Salary is in the $100K+ range depending on experience with company benefits, bonus and growth. 


Job Description

  • Ensure ethical behavior and compliance with Ethics and Compliance Program for all activities within area of responsibility.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions
  • Acts as a business partner to the President and Regional Managers; assesses organizational performance against both the annual budget and the company’s long term strategy
  • Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the President and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations
  • Engage upper management on issues, trends and changes in the operation
  • Assist in establishing yearly objectives and meeting agendas, selecting and engaging outside consultants
  • Oversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with company strategic plan
  • Serve as a member of executive leadership team
  • Participate in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives and operations
  • Prepare and maintain regular financial planning reports; Monthly profit and loss forecast by division; Weekly 13 week cash flow forecast.
  • Complete analysis of financial results; develop recommendations (strategic and tactical)
  • Develop and execute analyses of various business initiatives (e.g. opening new operations, asset acquisition, new service launches)
  • Develop and maintain capital budget
  • Assist in development of financial planning and analysis exercises/reports
  • Participate in calls with lenders
  • Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed
  • Oversee cash, investment and asset management
  • Oversee financing strategies and activities, as well as banking relationships
  • Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization’s operations and business plans
  • Coordinate the development and monitoring of budgets
  • Develop financial business plans and forecasts
  • Participate in corporate policy development as member of senior management
  • Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures
  • Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial management reporting
  • Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns
  • Oversee preparation of month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial statements
  • Review all month-end closing activities, including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations and corporate/overhead cost allocation
  • Clearly establish and communicate job expectations for all direct reports
  • Define corrective actions for performance or behavior issues; ensure they are applied fairly and consistently throughout workforce


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; CPA and/or MBA a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as CFO or equivalent, preferably in an organization with a budget of at least $10 million.  
  • Experience in a senior financial-management role 
  • Experience working with information technology management overseeing finance and accounting software packages
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong leader with excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills 
  • Strong organization skills
